“I have decided to leave The Social House,” Flo Windey (25) posted Wednesday evening on Twitter, where she alone has more than 25,000 followers. “I’m already trying to tackle diversity and inclusion in the media. To do better. And this was clearly not a correct representation of that. ”
In those words, Windey refers to the initially eight-headed ‘family’ of social media figures that recently moved into a West Flemish house, all white Belgians. Even the dog was white. “I didn’t realize until late that I had watched the entire cast from a privileged position and should have made my voice heard louder when it mattered. “About the timing of this project, I agree it was unfortunate,” he said. “Especially for my target audience. The corona crisis is weighing on all young people and it was insensitive of me to stop thinking about it. Mental health is something that many young people deal with strugglen and especially I want to be a voice for you. I failed to do that. ”
Windey also stated that she would not throw a stone to the other residents of the house, and that she would like to say sorry to all the people she disappointed or hurt.
