New Jersey will celebrate the 4th of July with one of the largest events in the state.
This is the Jersey City fireworks show that this time brings Flo Rida as part of its programming. In addition, there will be Funk Flex and Shaquille O’Neal, aka DJ Diesel, each with their own sets before Flo Rida.
The celebration has become one of the largest in the region, usually drawing some 150,000 people from across the tri-state area.
“Jersey City has transformed itself to be one of the best renaissance stories in the country, and we strive to deliver the best in everything we do with the 4th of July being another example,” said Jersey City Mayor Fulop. “City residents deserve the best, and we’ve taken the opportunity to offer a free day of fun for families who may not have the means to pay for these types of events.”
Following world-class live musical performances, fireworks will light up the Jersey City sky against the incomparable backdrop of Manhattan.
The Jersey City fireworks will be launched from two barges located in the middle of the Hudson River with a large viewing area this year.
Spectators can watch the fireworks show along the Hudson River Walkway, from the north field at Liberty State Park, with most overlooking areas of The Heights.
