Flixbus plans to restart operations after a two-month Corona break. The company announced a restart for this Thursday. The buses will then initially go to almost 50 destinations in Germany. Before the crisis there were ten times as many.

Flixbus CEO Schwämmlein said the hygiene concept enables travelers to travel safely by long-distance bus even in the current situation. Guests must wear face masks throughout the trip. The buses themselves should be disinfected after each trip. There is a safety distance of 1.50 meters at stops and when boarding and alighting. Tickets were checked without contact, disinfectant was ready, it said. Toilets would not be opened so that passengers on the bus would not meet. Because of the spread of the corona virus, the buses have been idle since March 18. The trains followed the next day. It is not yet certain when the Flixtrain train offer will start again.
