Prior to that, Ukraine did not have regular direct flights with Saudi Arabia; in order to get to Riyadh, Ukrainians had to fly through Istanbul, Doha or Dubai.
“Each new flight is, first of all, new opportunities for business development, tourism and Ukraine’s integration into world markets … We strive for Ukraine to become a major international air hub, and such steps bring us closer to this goal,” said the head MIU Alexander Kubrakov.
Flynas is a leading Saudi low-cost airline with a fleet of 30 aircraft and recently signed a contract for 120 new aircraft from Airbus, the ministry said. The airline operates over 1200 flights a week to 35 domestic and international destinations.
