Microsoft has released a new patch for Flight Simulator. The patch is mainly aimed at improving performance and fixing problems experienced by players.
In addition to general performance optimizations, Microsoft mentions in the release notes van patch 1.8.3.0 some specific parts that have been addressed. For example, the charging system has been optimized to shorten loading times, images from certain airports have to burden the CPU less and there are memory optimisations, which in particular should benefit systems with relatively little memory.
In addition, the developer has changed CPU thread prioritization and GPU performance should be improved by reducing overdraw. Players will also be able to manage the frequency of cockpit screen updates after the patch is implemented. The patch also changes some visual characteristics of the cockpits of a few planes and long bridges should show less gaps.
At the beginning of September, Microsoft already released patch 1.7.14 from. This was mainly aimed at solving download and installation problems with players.
