In 1967, for the first time, flights left Toulon to join Paris, under the Air Inter banner. This company will cease its activities in October 1996 and AOM will then use the available slots just like TAT. AOM served Toulon airport from Orly Ouest between 1996 and 2001, Air Liberté competing with its activity during the same period from Orly Sud. The merger of the two companies into Air Lib made it possible to serve the Var until the disappearance of the company. In 2001, Air France in turn operated flights from Paris to Toulon at the rate of four daily trips, then six when Air Lib disappeared. With nearly 500,000 passengers per year, the regular Paris Toulon line is one of the busiest in France. In 2020-2021, Air France connects the capital and the military port with several direct Air France Paris Toulon-Hyères flights throughout the year.
