The new connection from Nice is part of the largest transatlantic expansion in United’s history, announced today, which includes 10 new routes and five new destinations: Amman (Jordan), Bergen (Norway), the Azores (Portugal), Mallorca (Spain) and Tenerife (Spanish Canary Islands).

No other North American company serves these new destinations, which are scheduled to launch in the spring of 2022.

In addition, United will add new flights to five popular European destinations next year – Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Munich and Rome – and will relaunch seven routes that had been suspended due to the pandemic, from Bangalore, Frankfurt, the Haneda airport in Tokyo, Nice and Zurich. These flights are subject to government approval.

“We look forward to the full resumption of international travel and are committed to continuing to operate our unique global network in innovative ways.”, said Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President International Network and Alliances de United.

“We are delighted to announce the launch date for United’s very first connection between Nice and New York / Newark, which was much anticipated”, commented Marcel Fuchs, General Manager of International Sales for United. “This new flight will strengthen our international network, offer our French customers an even wider choice of travel options and the possibility of reaching other destinations on the American continent via our hub in New York / Newark. “
