Four flight departures from Tromsø Airport have ended up being canceled in the wake of the airport being closed for two hours on Thursday evening.
The relevant departures are:
- SAS’ 19.10 departure to Oslo.
- Widerøe’s departure to Sørkjosen, which was supposed to take off at 19.35.
- Widerøe’s Bergen flight, which was supposed to leave at 8 p.m.
- Widerøe’s 21.05 departure to Bodø.
Many of these passengers now have to wait until Friday before they get off to their destinations.
Two passengers Nordlys spoke to last night on Friday talk about the bad atmosphere after the crew on the SAS flight to Oslo went out on time.
– People were distraught, and some stood in the queue to the counter we were directed to and cried. It also seemed that someone was going to spend the night at the airport, they say.
The two women will not be named in the newspaper.
The two had left the airport themselves at half past one, and were on their way to one of the city’s hotels.
– We don’t know what will happen tomorrow and just have to see which flight we will be transferred to, say the two air travelers.
