Hansi Flick scores his next goal-scoring victory with FC Barcelona – but an injury clouds the picture. With a bit of luck, Inter Milan will prevail against Arsenal.
FC Barcelona continues to rush from victory to victory: Hansi Flick’s team celebrated a confident away win at Red Star Belgrade on matchday four of the Champions League. The Spanish top team won 5-2.

Barca’s goals came from Inigo Martinez (13th minute), Robert Lewandowski with a brace (43rd and 53rd), the Brazilian Raphinha (55th) and Fermin Lopez (76th). The VfB loan player Silas scored Belgrade’s equalizer (27th), Mendes Joao Milson later scored a second Belgrade goal (84th).
The blatant outsider had found his way into the game well against Barca. Red Star celebrated briefly in the early stages of the game, after four minutes Timi Max Elsnik scored – but from an offside position, the goal did not count.

As a result, the Catalans took control of the game and created some good chances. Across all competitions, the Flick team has 55 goals after 16 games. This is a new club record, the previous record (54 goals) comes from the 1950/51 season.

“We can always improve, but I’m really happy,” said Flick Movistar: “They played well, were good with the ball, but we put them under pressure. It’s good to see that.”
An unpleasant scene took place after about an hour when Pau Cubarsi was injured. The young Barca defender was hit in the face by a foot while trying to clear the ball and had to be substituted. Sergi Dominguez came into the game for him.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan were able to celebrate a narrow win against Arsenal FC. The Italian champions won 1-0 after a penalty goal from Hakan Calhanoglu. This was preceded by a handball by Mikel Merino, who was shot from close range.
Inter were lucky in the 29th minute of the game: goalkeeper Yann Sommer came too late on a cross and hit his opponent Merino in the head with both fists. At best he touched the ball. The referee did not punish the offense after checking the VAR.

Bloody wound stops Havertz
Shortly before the end of the game, things got painful for German international Kai Havertz: The attacker collided with his teammate Gabriel Jesus while attempting a header and sustained a heavily bleeding wound on his head. After several minutes of treatment, Havertz was substituted.
In another duel between two top teams, Atlético Madrid secured a late victory against Paris Saint-Germain. Angel Correa scored the decisive goal in the third minute of injury time to make it 2-1.
The first two goals came in the opening phase: After a miss by Atlético defender Clément Lenglet, Warren Zaire-Emery grabbed the ball and pushed it in without any problems (14th). However, it didn’t take long for the Spaniards to react; Nahuel Molina equalized just four minutes later.
And: surprise team Stade Brest cheered again. After the 2:1 (1:0) over Sparta Prague, the French already have ten out of twelve possible points.
