Fleurance: a project to America for the musical association La Fleurantine in 2023

The general assembly of La Fleurantine was held recently. It appears that the musical association is doing well in general with a significant number of banda outings and band concerts, with rave reviews from outside.

In this sense, the financial report reveals a record year and a budget with a large surplus. Subsidies from the cities of Fleurance and Saint-Clar contribute to the good financial health of the association, allowing the completion of ambitious projects and investments. The activity report for its part mentions 7 concerts and 7 official ceremonies for the Orchester d’harmonie, and 47 outings for the banda (including 33 in the Gers) and a concert with Nadau in September in Monbeton (82 ).

There are also many projects for the year 2023. Quite exceptional events are in preparation for the Fleurantin public, but also well beyond the borders of the municipality, because the association is working to concretize a project of moving the banda to South America.

The association is committed to eco-responsibility

La Fleurantine also wants to make a transition to eco-responsible habits with the purchase of isothermal water bottles for each musician and reusable glasses for the public in order to considerably reduce its waste production. This complements the actions implemented by the association for many years, such as the use of carpooling or public transport to get around during outdoor events, or the use of LED bulbs for lighting during concerts.

The president of La Fleurantine closed the general meeting by evoking the pride of being at the head of this association, where all the volunteer members are volunteers and involved in the activities and the life of the group. And in particular the members of the Board of Directors who provide important and high quality work.
