Flensburg Award for Jim Gottfridsson: The backcourt player from runner-up Flensburg-Handewitt has been voted Player of the Season.
Jim Gottfridsson from handball runner-up Flensburg-Handewitt has been voted Player of the Season. The Swedish runner-up world champion received the most votes with 34.8 percent in a fan voting for the handball Bundesliga. The backcourt player landed in front of the Norwegian Sander Sagosen from master THW Kiel, third was top scorer Omar Ingi Magnusson from SC Magdeburg.

Gottfridsson, who has been playing in Flensburg for eight years, was once again one of the top performers in Maik Machulla’s team. With 177 goals, he played his most successful Bundesliga season, and with 210 assists he scored the most goals in the league. The 28-year-old was already elected to the All-Star Team at the World Cup in Egypt in January.
