Another thing that strikes Fluvius: people with solar panels seem to adjust their electricity consumption more and more to the sunny periods, when their panels generate electricity. “After all, that way you can save money, because all the electricity you generate and consume yourself, you don’t have to get it from the grid,” explains spokesman Verdoodt.
They noticed this at Fluvius, because an average of 11 percent less power was put on it in recent months. For the sunny month of May, there was even a drop of 21 percent.
