It must have crashed: Yesterday evening a man wrecked his car in an underground car park on Flawiler Rösslistrasse. The report from the St. Gallen canton police said that the 54-year-old driver wanted to drive his car into the underground car park. Apparently he missed the fact that the garage door was still closed. He drove off anyway – and hit the gate.
But even the closed gate couldn’t stop him: he drove on and pushed it in, and in the underground car park he finally collided with a concrete pillar. His car suffered great damage and should now be ready for scrap. Another car was also slightly damaged.
Driver’s license removed
Overall, the property damage will probably amount to several thousand francs. In addition, the 54-year-old’s driver’s license was removed and the public prosecutor of the canton of St. Gallen ordered a blood and urine sample.
