The auction lasted an hour a good two weeks ago in front of a courthouse in Manhattan. Then the famous Flatiron Building was sold for 190 million dollars (about 175 million euros). The bid went to Jacob Garlick, a previously unknown employee of an investment firm, who then fell to his knees and cried. A “lifelong dream” has come true, he told the reporters present.
