After a mostly dry weekend, rainfall is expected for Monday night in the tri-state area, according to the Weather Authority.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has already issued a flash flood watch for New York City beginning Monday at 8:00 pm through Tuesday at 5:00 pm; this while waiting for the arrival of heavy rains that could generate flooding on the roads.
The rain would come in due to a warm front moving on Sunday night bringing rain, the NWS said. Most of Monday is expected to be dry during the day before possibly a coastal storm arrives Monday night with heavy rain in the tri-state area.
