Zenit (RUS) has no intention of trading Claudinho with other clubs

Active in the market, the Flamengo is targeting Claudinho, from Zenit (RUS). The midfielder dealt with some matters with Mengo and settled all the details with the Gávea club. However, the negotiation comes up against the desire of the Russians to keep the athlete in the squad. Despite that, the Fla is willing to continue the negotiations.

O Flamengo informed Zenit that he is interested in the athlete and wants to open negotiations for Claudinho. The Russians, on the other hand, announced that they do not want to give up the Brazilian and do not even want to start talks with another club. Still, the Fla intends to send an official proposal for the player. The information was first conveyed by journalist Julio Miguel Neto.

The initial idea of Flamengo is to disburse 16 million euros for Claudinho (R$ 83.47 million at the current exchange rate). The value is lower than what the red-black board understands that the Russians should ask for the athlete, which would be between 17 and 18 million (R$ 88 million to R$ 94 million).

Claudinho’s contract with Zenit is valid for another four and a half seasons, that is, until December 2027. In addition, the player is seen as a usable piece in the Russian club and, thus, the Flamengo he will have to make a great financial effort if he wants to hire the Brazilian.

The good news in the red-black ball market comes from three other names. That’s because, on Saturday (01), Agustín Rossi was officially announced and joined Luiz Araújo, who was already training with the squad of Flamengo. On the same day, Allan, formerly of Atlético-MG, landed in Rio de Janeiro, and should also find his new teammates soon.
