Claudinho was substituted in the first half of the friendly match between Zenit (RUS) and Fenerbahçe (TUR)
Flamengo is still on the market looking for reinforcements for the remainder of the 2023 season. One of the targets of the red-black board for this transfer window is Claudinho, from Zenit (RUS). However, the player became a concern after suffering an injury during a pre-season friendly for the Russian team, this Sunday (09).
Claudinho had to be substituted in the 24th minute of the first friendly match against Fenerbahçe (TUR). Still on the bench, the midfielder started treatment with an ice pack on his right leg. The match ended in a 0-0 tie in normal time, and went to penalties, where the Russian team won 5-4.
NEGOTIATION OF FLAMINGO BY CLAUDINHO
It is important to note that, in addition to the three reinforcements already announced by Flamengo (Allan, Agustín Rossi and Luiz Araújo) in this transfer window, Mais Querido intends to have Claudinho, soon, in the red-black squad. Zenit set the value of 30 million (about R$ 156 million at current prices) to negotiate the athlete with Rubro-Negro.
Flamengo, however, is willing to pay 18 million euros (about R$ 94 million) for signing the player. Rubro-Negro’s vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, even stated that he has already contacted Claudinho’s manager, while trying to reach an agreement for the midfielder with Zenit.
While the board moves behind the scenes for the arrival of reinforcements to the red-black squad, Jorge Sampaoli prepares the players available for the next commitment of the season. That’s because Flamengo enters the field against Athletico-PR, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time) this Wednesday (12), for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil.
