Flamengo reached an agreement with Léo Ortiz, but still needs to close a deal with Red Bull Bragantino
O Flamengo started planning for the next season and opened conversations with Leo Ortiz, with whom he closed a deal, but there is still an agreement with Red Bull Bragantino. However, the Brazilian defender refused a proposal from Galatasaray (TUR) to arrange a transfer to the red-and-black club.
Leo Ortiz closed with the Flamengo and accepted the proposal for a five-year contract, valid until 2028. However, to continue negotiations with the red-and-black club, the defender refused a proposal from Galatasaray, according to information from Venê Casagrande.
NEGOTIATION STATUS
Despite having signed a contract with Leo Ortiz until December 2028, the Flamengo still needs to negotiate with Red Bull Bragantino, holder of the player’s rights. Therefore, to obtain a positive outcome, the red-black club will have to pay 6.5 million euros (R$35 million). However, Mengo’s first offer was 5 million euros (R$27 million).
On the other hand, although there is still a distance between the value offered by Flamengo and Red Bull Bragantino’s demands, the red-and-black club remains confident in the agreement. The Bragança Paulista team is aware of the defender’s desire to move to Rio de Janeiro.
Leo Ortiz is valued in the transfer market, especially in Europe. This is because, in addition to arousing interest from Galatasaray, from Turkey, the Brazilian defender is still a target from Monaco, from France. However, the French team has not yet signaled an official proposal.
FLAMENGO ACTIVE ON THE MARKET
O Flamengo is keeping an eye on the transfer market for next season.
