Flamengo continues to move the transfer market at the beginning of 2024
The football market remains intense, even on the first day of 2024. Flamengo is the one who moves the market and, as a result, causes the departure of three names from the squad: goalkeeper Santos, who is negotiating with Fortaleza, midfielder Thiago Maia, for Corinthians, and Everton Ribeirowho did not renew the contract.
The midfielder Everton Ribeiro had a contract with Flamengo until last Sunday (31). Without renewal with the red-black club, the 34-year-old player is free on the market and can sign with any other team. Thus, Bahia entered the dispute and offered a two-year contract, in addition to a 30% higher salary in relation to Mais Querido’s extension proposal. With that, Salvador’s team forwarded the agreement, according to journalist Venê Casagrande.
MONEY ENTERING THE CASH
The first sale of Flamengo in 2024 it is close to completion. This is because the red-and-black club agreed with Fortaleza the transfer of goalkeeper Santos. Now, there are small details left to complete the deal. However, the team from Ceará will pay less than the R$15.5 million invested by Mais Querido in the purchase from Athletico-PR, in April 2022.
DEAL CLOSE TO AGREEMENT
Thiago Maia lost space in the Flamengo after the arrival of coach Tite, who used Erick Pulgar and Gerson as midfielders. With this, the player has negotiations underway with Corinthians. This way, the São Paulo team can conclude the deal this week.
REPLACEMENTS IN THE SIGHTS
O Flamengo remains active in search of new names for 2024. Therefore, the red-black club is negotiating with Red Bull Bragantino for left-back Juninho Capixaba and defender Léo Ortiz. Furthermore, he is in talks with Roma (ITA) for Matías Viña, with Bétis (ESP) for Luiz Henrique and with Portland Timbers (USA) for Evander.
