Flamengo, led by Vítor Pereira, has just lost to rival Fluminense (guided by Fernando Diniz) in the final of the Rio de Janeiro State Championship, Cariocão.
After having won the first leg by 2-0, Fla was defeated by 4-1 in this second leg, as a visitor (although the two meetings were on the same stage, Maracanã). Veteran Marcelo (30′), Germán Cano (34′ and 56′, on the reload of the penalty kicked by himself and saved by the goalkeeper) and Alexsander (65′) scored for Flu, with Fla reducing already very close to the final, by Ayrton Lucas (90+9′).
An outcome that leaves Vítor Pereira with the place seriously at risk.
