Flamengo is Rio champion over Fluminense and reaches sixth state tri – 22/05/2021

This Saturday Flamengo won its 37th title in the Carioca Championship. The conquest came after the victory over Fluminense in the decision, by the score of 3 to 1, since in the first game there was a tie by 1 to 1. The result still gives Flamengo, for the sixth time, a third consecutive championship in the state.

The crucial character for the red-black conquest was Gabigol. The striker had already hit the net in the first match of the final and increased the score with two goals from the final match. Fred got to discount for Fluminense, but João Gomes, symbolizing a generation of players that gains space in Fla, sacramentamento the conquest.
