Flamengo has come out with the publication of an official statement in defense of his current coach, the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, before the continuos rumors that arise about his life personal and that place the former Benfica coach outside the club in Rio de Janeiro.
The Brazilian team holds in its official note that this is an attempt to “sow discord on the board“and also of”dstabilize our team through sordid attacks on our coach“who since his arrival has won, at the international level, the titles of the Copa Libertadores and the South American champions, while he has proclaimed himself champion of the last edition of the Brazilian Championship and of the last Super Cup.

They insist from the club that, before such accusations made about their coach, they remain “united” around his figure and that of the team: “A strong and winning Flamengo annoys many people. From Portugal, the newspaper Record pointed to a possible return from the coach to the ‘Eagles’. In case of returning to Benfica, It would be his second stage at the club after spending six consecutive years as a coach and where he won ten titles, until his resignation in June 2015 and his subsequent signing by Sporting de Portugal.
