According to the available information, the Snapdragon 875 will include eight cores in a “1 + 3 + 4” configuration. The most powerful will be the Cortex-X1 super-core. The processor will receive a graphics accelerator Adreno 660 and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem with the ability to transfer information at speeds up to 7.5 Gb / s towards the subscriber.
Network sources report that the Snapdragon 875 solution codenamed Lahaina appeared in the popular AnTuTu benchmark. The processor showed an outstanding result – 847 868 points.
For comparison, the current Snapdragon 865 chip, which dominates the AnTuTu rankings, gives up to 663,752 points. In other words, the new product will surpass its predecessor in performance by more than a quarter.
Moreover, preliminary data suggests that the Snapdragon 875 is faster than the chips in all modern smartphones. Thus, the iPhone 12 devices show the result at the level of 660,000 points. Huawei Kirin 9000 and Samsung Exynos 1080 products give out 696,000 and 693,000 points, respectively.
However, the real capabilities of the Snapdragon 875 can only be talked about after this processor is released as part of commercial smartphones.
