On Friday morning, October 11, 2024, Mayor De Rouwe and aldermen Boddeus and Wonink plus a few guests were present at the raising of the LGBTIQ flag for Coming Out Day 2024.
A little later the ritual was repeated at the Church Center Open Hof. Bert Endedijk flew the rainbow flag there. The chairman of the church council of the Protestant District Church was accompanied by, among others, Reverend Kasper Jager and organist Diddy van der Stouwe with her wife Lian.
