The players from Stinatz started the new “Flag4Fun” season in Laxenburg last weekend. The southern Burgenland met teams from Carinthia, Lower Austria and Vienna. Ten new players and also coach George Marku celebrated their debut with the Ozelots. The young team fought bravely and ended the start with three wins and three losses.

The team of trainers around Marku, Philipp Heitzer and Peter Grandits was enthusiastic about the performances shown by their protégés. “We ended the two game days with a balanced result. We paid a bit of the hardship, but still presented ourselves very well. I am more than satisfied with the development of the players in this short period of time. ”Chairman Jan Zsifkovits commented on the performance:“ I was surprised at how well our teams presented themselves on both days. The ‘Flag4Fun’ championship is on the one hand the platform to forge our young talents and on the other hand the stepping stone into our FLA squad stand. Now we also know where there is room for improvement and what we have to work on in the near future. ”Some players took advantage of their chance and forced themselves into the FLA squad. The next matchday is on June 19th. Meanwhile, the FLA team will play their first test match against Bundesliga club Vienna Spartans today, Thursday. After a long corona break, something is also moving among the ocelots who are enthusiastic about sports.
