Flag Day of the Republic of Poland
On May 2, 2024, we celebrate National Flag Day. On this occasion, at the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Poznań and in all Rescue and Firefighting Units, a ceremonial raising of the national flag took place during the change of duty. This touching event was a symbolic gesture of paying tribute to our national colors and values.
Flag Day of the Republic of Poland is a public holiday introduced in 2004. Its main goal is to promote knowledge about Polish national symbols, cultivate patriotic traditions and cultivate the rich history of our homeland. This is a time for all of us, as citizens, to celebrate our national identity and show respect for our flag, which is an expression of our common heritage and unity. When celebrating this special day, we should remember that the flag is not just a piece of cloth, but a symbol of our unity and freedom that should be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
