Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
FK Senica refuse to negotiate with PSSI related status A Maulana Vikri to strengthen the U-23 Indonesian National Team in the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification against Australia.
Egy was on the list of players prepared by coach Shin Tae Yong to undergo the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification in Tajikistan on 27 October.
At first, PSSI, through its Technical Director, Indra Sjafri, said that his party would try to negotiate with FK Senica regarding Egy’s status. PSSI hopes that FK Senica can release Egy to strengthen the U-23 national team.
However, FK Senica Sports Director David Balda ensured that the club remained on the initial decision, which was not to allow Egy to strengthen the U-23 national team.
“Today [Selasa] Egy flew back to Senica. There are no more negotiations, we want him back to prepare for the next game in the league,” Balda told CNNIndonesia.com, Wednesday (13/10).
FK Senica is scheduled to resume the Slovak Fortuna Liga competition against Zemplin Michalovce at the OMS Arena on Saturday (16/10). Senica is in a downward trend after losing to Sered and Slovan Bratislava.
Egy is not the only player who cannot strengthen the U-23 national team. Syahrian Abhimanyu is also confirmed to return to the Johor Darul Ta’zim club and Saddil Ramdani is injured.
Thus, there are only four players from abroad in the U-23 Indonesian National Team, namely Amiruddin Bagus Kahfi (FC Utrecht), Natanael Siringo (Kelantan FC), Asnawi Mangkualam (Ansan Greeners), and Witan Sulaeman (Lechia Gdansk).
Some of the U-23 national team players who had just strengthened for the senior national team in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification play-off immediately flew to Tajikistan to undergo preparations against Australia.
