Schmid spent a few days in Cologne before Christmas Eve. “During our time in Germany we made many dear friends. We visited them, then we went back to Austria ”, where he was able to celebrate Christmas at home with his family for the first time in eight years. “We enjoyed it,” he smiles.
The medical and motor skills tests are on the program for the players today and tomorrow. The entire test battery is run through in groups of two.
“Although I am most interested in the lactate values, because then we can design our units in preparation,” says Schmid, who will be training with the players on grass for the first time on Wednesday.
“We had very good values in the tests immediately before the winter break, so I expect that we can now quickly get into the technical and tactical focal points.”
The team will train twice a day, doing as many units as possible with the ball. “We will lay the foundations in the coming weeks. We need the physique for spring, now we have a very decisive phase ahead of us. “
The first test will take place on Saturday. Due to the current Corona situation still without a spectator, the opponent is SC Mannswörth (the overview of the preparation is attached).
