Five young women volunteers prepare for World Youth Day at Cáritas soup kitchen in Algeciras

Cáritas, August 1, 2023.- Five young women committed to solidarity and service to others, who will soon participate in the World Youth Day in Lisbonhave carried out a volunteer service in the Cáritas soup kitchen in Algeciras accompanied by two of their monitors.

The group of young people, from the Archdiocese of Madrid, offered to live a volunteer experience at Cáritas Diocesana de Cádiz on their pilgrimage path to World Youth Day that begins this week in Lisbon.

Their work as volunteers in the Cáritas soup kitchen has focused on cleaning and maintenance of the place, with the aim of supporting and collaborating in maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for those who come daily in search of food and fraternal support.

World Youth Day, to be held in Lisbon, represents a unique opportunity for these young people to strengthen their faith, share with other young people from around the world and reaffirm their commitment to Christian values ​​of solidarity and service to those most in need.
