Three objects of the real estate company “Vastint Latvia” are currently nearing the start of construction: two office buildings in the center of Riga, on Antonijas street, the second phase of the “Business Garden” shopping complex and the next phase of the “Lindenholma” residential project “in Mārupe.
However, for their development to take place, three factors must coincide, says “Vastint Latvia” CEO Romāns Astahovs. First of all, what is the market situation or how much is “ready” to accept the product offered, secondly, the project must already be prepared, coordinated and fully implemented, finally, the implementation costs must be at a level that allows the business plan to be implemented. “A year ago we” heard “the construction prices, we have not discovered anything good”, he does not hide, but adds that the company plans to hold a tender for the builders. As for the market, Astakhov says there are several positive signs, despite the general uncertainty.
