After a long wait, the first part of the fifth season of the series with Tom Ellis is streaming: here is a summary of the previous episodes.
The appointment with hell has arrived: the fifth season of Lucifer is available from today in streaming its Netflix. The Lucifans, as the fervent fans of the series are called, have been waiting patiently for fifteen months and now they can enjoy one after the other the first eight episodes. But are you sure you remember everything that happened before? If you haven’t had time or desire to do a rewatch of the previous episodes, under the official trailer, we remind you where we left off with a summary in five points.
Lucifer: Where we left off
The fourth season of Lucifer had ended with the biggest cliffhanger ever: the lead played by Tom Ellis he had sacrificed himself by deciding to leave Los Angeles and return to the Underworld so that the demons could never return to Earth. In the last scene we saw him seated again on his infernal throne. But first, here it is five important facts that happened.
The heartbreaking goodbye to Chloe
Before leaving, the Devil had confessed to Chloe (Lauren German) his love giving her an emotional kiss, a circumstance that made the protagonist understand the meaning of a prophecy concerning him: when he finds his first love, Hell will reign on Earth. Lucifer understood that the first love the prophecy speaks of is not the original sinner Eve (Inbar Lavi) but just Chloe.
Chloe now knows Lucifer’s true identity
For her part, the detective, who also initially worked with Father Kinley to send him back to Hell, now knows the whole truth about Lucifer and, over the course of the season, she has been firmly at his side helping him face his transformation and embrace his new life.
Amenadiel and Linda had a baby
Lucifer’s brother Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) is beautiful (Rachael Harris) had a half-angel, half-human child. Obviously the little one was immediately the center of attention because the demons wanted him to be their new king. But Lucifer, Amenadiel, Eve, Maze and Chloe managed to save him (at least for the moment).
The story of Maze and Eve
Eve broke Maze’s heart (Lesley-Ann Brandt) when, after getting very close to her in an attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend Lucifer, he decided to leave her to figure out who she was alone, with no one by her side. It was a big blow for Maze who will now have to piece together the pieces of his life.
She has found her faith again
Forensic scientist Ella (Aimee Garcia) had a seizure after the death of Charlotte Richards (Tricia Helfer) but, in the end, she managed to believe again, even putting on the necklace with the cross.
Lucifer: When the second part of the fifth season comes out
The remaining eight episodes of the fifth season will not be released until 2021. This is because the filming, although winding down, was abruptly stopped by the pandemic. The actors, therefore, will have to return briefly to the set to shoot the final sequences, a circumstance that we do not yet know when it will occur considering that the health emergency is still ongoing.
