U-23 Indonesian National Team put on a commendable performance when they beat Taiwan with a score of nine goals without replying U-23 Asian Cup Qualification 2024 at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Central Java, Saturday (9/9). Here are the five stars of the U-23 Indonesian National Team in this big win.

Goal after goal has been flowing since the early minutes. The match had only been running for two minutes, Marselino Ferdinan had already changed the numbers on the scoreboard. What follows is a sweet story for the U-23 Indonesian National Team who are trying to win tickets to the U-23 Asian Cup next year.

This big victory over one of the East Asian countries was achieved thanks to an almost perfect collective performance. The individual abilities of each player also contributed to the victory in front of loyal supporters who filled the stadium stands.

1. Marselino Ferdinand

Not only did he score the opening goal or was the only player to score two goals, Marselino was also the motor of the team’s attack, as KMSK player Deinze did every time he played for the Indonesian national team.

Playing the match on his birthday did not burden his steps, Marselino proved himself to be a shining star on the field. His movements liven up Indonesia’s midfield while always being a threat to the opponent.

The goals scored further confirmed that Marselino is an important player in the current Red and White team.

2. Elkan Baggott

Playing 90 minutes guarding the back line, taking turns with Rizky Ridho Ramadhani until half of the second half and then partnering with Komang Teguh Trisnanda, Baggott put on a solid game.

This Ipswich Town player is the general of the back field, organizing his team-mates while defending, guarding the defensive line, sending balls from the defensive line to the middle or forwards, and assisting attacks and producing goals.

Even though there were only one or two significant attacks from the opponent, Baggott showed 100 percent performance while on the pitch.
