For its baptism of fire in the festival arena in Quebec City, on September 13 and 14, Fono has gathered some thirty artists who will perform on three stages set up in the heart of the Université Laval campus. Here are five that might interest you.

With over 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify, it’s safe to say that German indie folk duo Milky Chance are a solid catch for Fono. The performers of the megahit Stolen Dance will be making their third visit to Quebec in three years, and judging by the reception they received in 2022 and 2023, we can expect a magnificent evening.

LIGHT

Pop-rock fans and those nostalgic for the 1960s and 1970s who have never seen this colorful singer in action should put this show on their agenda. A protégé of Pierre Lapointe and Daniel Bélanger, Étienne Côté, his real name, is starting to turn heads all over the French-speaking world.

His song A Bar Song (Tipsy) propelled him to the top of the charts, he was then heard on Beyoncé’s country album, and on Saturday, he will be performing his first show in Quebec City. With his raspy voice and country melodies tinged with hip-hop, Shaboozey will undoubtedly be eagerly awaited by festival-goers.

Bringing pop that is as catchy as it is captivating, Naomi has the potential to impress with both her music and her dance moves. The multidisciplinary artist has had a busy summer on stages across Quebec, in addition to presenting new tracks like Poison, Serious et Ma prefthe latter in collaboration with her husband, rapper Rymz.

Revelation of the year at the ADISQ Gala in 2021, this Quebec virtuoso of electronic music is now taking his art all over the planet. With his latest project, Hold Youand several collaborations with artists of the caliber of Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run and Klô Pelgag in the past, we could well see him treading the stages of the biggest festivals in his field in the near future.
