FIVE REVIEWS: “Did not stay in Blue and White

Too many miss AIK
Against Degerfors, important duo Alexander Milosevic and Sebastian Larsson, who were both suspended, were missing, and with that, quality and character disappeared.

17-year-old Yasin Ayari had a hard time filling the gap after Larsson and was replaced after 61 minutes. And 35-year-old Per Karlsson had a hard time filling the gap after Milosevic, and did not make it to Degerfors’ 2-0 goal.

AIK were ineffective. They had five clear goal chances, and it took 90 minutes before they managed to get a ball into the goal.

Three of the times came the situations after Bilal Hussein started the attacks. Nicolas Stefanelli missed two chances, and Nabil Bahoui and Bojan Radulovic one each.

Radulovic was the one who had the best position when he got the ball completely free in front of goal, but the finish was too bad.

Degerfors had five clear goal chances and scored on two of them. At the second, Per Karlsson’s defense was weak when Edvardsen took the ball from the middle and ran from the AIK hill.

Djurdjic will be important in the end
Degerfors came into the game with five straight losses and a victory in the last eleven. What they had the biggest problem with has been the defensive and they have conceded 39 goals, only Örebro has conceded more (42).

But the team felt on track in the last round when they had 2-2 against Djurgården, but fell by 2-3. Then Nikola Djurdjic scored two goals and his entry has been very positive. To stay afloat, quality, will and experience are needed, and these are qualities that Djurdjic possesses.

Edvardsen delivers
Ahead of the season, AIK showed interest in Victor Edvardsen, something that was not entirely positive the ball was part of the supporters due to the striker’s past with games and heart for IFK Gothenburg. So he stayed in Degerfors, something that the club is said to be happy about. Edvardsen scored both teams’ goals against AIK and has now scored eleven goals and four assists. It is good delivery in a team that is third from the end. It was not far away that Edvardsen got two assists against AIK.

Did not get to stay in IFK Gothenburg – but now he is about to make Degerfors a better team than Blåvitt
Victor Edvardsen started playing in IFK Gothenburg when he was four years old and was loyal to the club until 2015 when he was no longer allowed to stay. Now the attack leads Degerfors. Last year he scored 16 goals and nine assists when the team went up in the Allsvenskan, and this season there have been eleven goals and four assists. His 15 points are as much as Blåvitt’s two best scorers have done together (Tobias Sana, nine points, and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, six points). And now Degerfors, which is in the qualifiers, has only one point up to IFK Gothenburg.

On Monday, Blåvitt lost 0-2 against Kalmar FF and now there is a terrible pressure on the team. One point over qualifying. Not much that works. And at the same time, the team is starting to win.

Weak trend for AIK – now a tough schedule awaits
In AIK’s last four, in addition to victory against IFK Gothenburg, they have played 0-0 against Mjällby, 1-1 against Kalmar FF and lost 1-2 against Degerfors. Not so positive when you want to take gold. All these three matches where there has been no victory have been away. Now a tough schedule awaits with the first derby against Djurgården and Hammarby before IFK Norrköping and Malmö FF are waiting.
