The Ministry of Agriculture and Food publishes for public discussion within one month, draft Ordinance to supplement Ordinance No. 6 of 2023. on the terms and conditions for implementing the intervention “Payments for agricultural land in areas of Natura 2000“, included in the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas 2023-2027.
With the proposed addition, five protected areas under Directive 92/43/EEC, approved by orders of the Minister of Environment and Water and promulgated in the State Gazette, are included in the scope of assistance under the intervention. In this way, more farmers will be able to apply for support under this intervention.
The five protected areas are “Kamchia”, “Ogosta River”, “Lom River”, “Timok” and “Novo Selo”.
The transitional and final provisions of the normative act amend and supplement Ordinance No. 10 of 2023 on the conditions and procedures for implementing interventions in the field of the environment and climate and humane treatment of animals, included in the 2023-2027 SPRZSR, which are not related to the proposed changes in the first amendment to the Plan. These amendments will be additionally included in proposals for changes to the Ordinance after the negotiations with the services of the European Commission have been completed.
