TRIBUNJABAR.ID, SUKABUMI – As many as five percent of the 1,001 people in Skabumi Regency who are infected HIV/AIDS student status.

The data is calculated from 2004 to 2021 issued by the Commission on Countermeasures AIDS (KPA) Sukabumi Regency.

Secretary of KPA Sukabumi Regency, Andi Rahman, said, the majority of transmission HIV/AIDS in Sukabumi Regency occurs through promiscuous sex in productive circles.

“This is due to promiscuity among young people, the sex worker community, and also students,” Andi said after the KPA coordination meeting Sukabumi Regency at the Pendopo, Tuesday (16/11/2021).

KPA HIV/AIDS Sukabumi Regency invites all levels of society, stakeholders, and related agencies to work together.

“The countermeasures must be carried out more massively. If not, then the case HIV/AIDS in Sukabumi Regency increased by three times per year,” said Andi.

“If we don’t work together to close ranks, how can we prevent it?” HIV/ AIDS, which is very dangerous, will cause death,” he said.

regional Secretary Sukabumi Regency, Ade Suryaman, said that his party was very concerned about the data disclosed by KPA.

This, said Ade, there needs to be follow-up efforts so that the spread of HIV/AIDS can be suppressed.

“In the future, there will be early detection of pregnant women. This is important, because pregnant women suffer from HIV/AIDS can transmit the virus to the unborn baby,” he said.
