Five people who were kidnapped in Arauca were released • La Nación


This is a group of young people who, apparently, were kidnapped by ELN men after being accused of doing intelligence work for the Army.

According to information from Blu Radio, the five people who were kidnapped last Friday in the vicinity of Saravena, Arauca, regained their freedom.

Among those released are two minors, a woman and a man. Initially, the Ombudsman’s Office in the area had confirmed that it was a 16-year-old young man and a young woman of the same age, as well as three adults between 18 and 32 years old.

Preliminarily, the authorities have determined the identities of the released people are Miguel Palencia, 17 years old; Juan Parrado, 18 years old; Yorly Caicedo, 20 years old; Marvelys Luque, 32 years old, and Wiidy Planas, 16 years old, who are in a safe place.

The authorities facilitated communication with their relatives in Norte de Santander.
