Five people killed and 21 more injured in bus crash in Russia (+ VIDEO)

In Russia, a bus crash near Ryazan on Sunday morning killed five people and injured another 21, authorities said.

“Five people were injured in the accident. 21 were injured,” the Russian Federal Road Traffic Inspectorate said.

The accident happened on a highway near the village of Voslebovo 270 kilometers south of Moscow.

There were 49 passengers on the bus.

The inspectorate said the bus could have hit the railroad bridge support.

Police said they had initiated a criminal case for violating traffic rules.
