Five passengers injured as attacker sets train on fire and escapes in Kozhikode.

Kozhikode: The assailant escaped after setting fire inside the train at Elathur. It is reported that five passengers were burnt. Three women were among the injured. Two people with severe burns were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The incident took place during an argument between passengers in the train. The fire broke out on the Alappuzha-Kannur Express.

The train, which was going from Alappuzha to Kannur, was set on fire after passing Kozhikode station. He set fire inside the bogie after an argument with other passengers. The fire broke out and the passengers were burnt.

A passenger in D1 coach set fire when the train reached Elathur bridge. The arsonist has gone missing since the incident. It is reported that he passed. Railway Police and RPF have reached the spot. An investigation has been started to find the assailant.
