Five long-term consequences of drinking wine

If you often drink a couple of glasses of wine, here are the consequences. And this also applies to alcoholic beverages in general.

  1. Weight gain. Alcohol has a lot of “empty” calories and is more caloric than carbohydrates and proteins (in 1 g – 4 kcal, in alcohol – 7 kcal). And alcohol is often consumed together with high-calorie ingredients – soda, syrup, juice. Since alcohol is a toxin, it will be digested earlier than other nutrients, which will make it difficult to control weight and reduce the amount of fat burned.

  2. Hormonal imbalance. As one study has shown, chronic alcohol consumption in large doses can disrupt the interaction of the immune, nervous and endocrine systems. As a result, hormonal imbalance will also occur. It can adversely affect reproductive function, mental state, behavior, immunity, etc.
