A suspect was arrested Thursday in Raleigh, North Carolina after a shooting that killed five people, including a police officer.
Five people, including an off-duty police officer, were shot dead Thursday (October 13) in Raleigh, North Carolina, sparking a massive manhunt with a blockade in one part. of the city which led to the arrest of a suspect.
At least two other people, including a police officer, were injured and taken to hospital, Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin said at a news conference.
“We need to do more. We need to stop this senseless violence in America. We need to fight gun violence,” he said, providing little information on the shooting, which took place shortly after 5pm (9pm GMT).
About three hours after the incident, the police managed to surround the suspect and then arrest him. According to a local television station affiliated with ABC News, the suspect is a white teenager with a gun.
