At least five people were injured Thursday when multiple tornadoes hit eastern Pennsylvania.

Two twisters landed in Bucks County, cutting down trees and removing power as heavy rains flooded streets and highways.

THOUSANDS OF MICHIGAN RESIDENTS LEFT INTO DARKNESS AFTER SEVERE WEEKEND STORMS According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, PSE & G reported 1,300 without power and PECO had reported approximately 8,000 outages.

Four of the individuals were injured at a car dealership and the fifth at a local business. A mobile home park was also damaged by one of the tornadoes.

All injuries were considered non-life threatening, according to Fred Harran, Director of Public Safety for the Bensalem Police Department.

“I’ve been doing this for 34 years, I haven’t seen that kind of devastation from a storm,” Harran said.

Images and videos posted on social media revealed the aftermath of the chaos, with overturned cars, overturned utility poles and damaged roofs.

A Twitter video showed the interior of Faulkner’s Toyota dealership during the storm and another showed collapsed buildings.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued several severe storm, tornado and flash flood warnings throughout the day. Harran said authorities would work through the night to help residents displaced by the storm, restore power and clear roads before morning commutes.

Delaware and New Jersey were also affected by severe weather, with multiple advisories issued to residents there as well. Tornado warnings were issued for approximately three-quarters of the Garden State counties and the “large and dangerous tornado” moved from Bucks County into Trenton around 7 pm ET.
