WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES.-Five Hondurans died from the coronavirus, and there are 11 more confirmed cases in U.S, as confirmed by the ambassador of Honduras in Washington, María Dolores Agüero.
“The information that we have, with the record kept by our Consular Network, is of 16 Hondurans who received a positive diagnosis of Covid – 19. Of those 16 Hondurans, sadly, five have lost their lives, ”explained Agüero.

In addition, he explained that the information on infections is handled in a very reserved way. “Hospitals do not provide this information to the Consular Network,” he said.
The diplomat stated that the data being handled has been obtained by the affected parties themselves or by the community. “Surely there are some additional cases,” he added.
He also assured that despite the mandatory closure of its facilities, the 13 Honduran consulates in that country carry out the necessary actions to provide support to Hondurans stranded or with special needs and to follow up on cases of Hondurans infected by the deadly virus. .
