–In the past 24 hours, five firework accidents have been registered in Suriname at the Emergency Department of the Paramaribo Academic Hospital. As a result, the number of reports has risen to six.
All of these registrants were hit by fireworks in the facial area. In three cases it turned out that the accident was caused by others, while in the other cases the victims themselves were working with fireworks.
So far, the youngest victim is 11 years old. (m), while the oldest is 69yr.(f). Until today, Saturday, January 1, fireworks will be lit before midnight. Allowed.
