Five-figure sum of money: 83-year-old Hilden woman duped by panic call

On Thursday afternoon, fraudsters sent a five-figure sum of money from an 83-year-old Hilden woman with a so-called “panic call”. The senior citizen received a call at about 1.30pm from an unknown person who pretended to be the girl’s lawyer. The caller pretended that the girl had caused a fatal traffic accident which was not can be held immediately only by paying bail.
