Milosevic’s injury caused it – but mentally strong to come back
The defense has been AIK’s best team and Alexander Milosevic has been so sharp that he made it into the national team. So when he was forced to leave the warm-up and throw in the towel against Sirius, it was of course not optimal for AIK. It touched on it and suddenly the defense was swaying. Jetmir Haliti replaced Milosevic and thus made his first match from the start in AIK. Haliti took a place on the right and Mikael Lustig moved in as center back. Sirius made it 1-0 on the corner after Sotirios Papagiannopoulos was passive. Sirius made it 2-0 after a lift over Lustig and Haliti, where Haliti was the one who lost the most when Christian Kouakou became free and put the ball in goal.

Stefanelli hero – again
When AIK needed it most, when AIK shouted for someone who could step forward and deliver, then Nicolas Stefanelli took it upon himself. As so many times before. This season he made it 3-2 and 4-2 in the penultimate round against Elfsborg. He scored the only goal of the match against Djurgården, IFK Norrköping and Halmstad. He scored a goal and an assist in the 4-1 victory against Djurgården. He scored the 1-0 goal in the 2-0 victory against Hammarby.
And in the last round, he stepped forward again, now that it was 0-2 against Sirius. Stefanelli made AIK rise to nine and shot in 1-2 and nodded in 2-2.
The Argentine striker stayed on twelve goals.
The away game was too weak for gold
At home, AIK was good and won 13 matches, but the away game was not as good and there were only victories against Östersund, Sirius, Varberg, Djurgården and Elfsborg. The weak away game cost AIK the gold and here you have to improve next season.
Here, AIK needs to recruit
An outsider and a striker should be a priority. On the attacking side, Henok Goitom puts his shoes on the shelf and then there are Nabil Bahoui and Bojan Radulovic. Bahoui is sharp but with games in both the Allsvenskan and Europe, the club needs to bring in a striker of class to sharpen and widen.
External. Three assists by Erik Ring does not impress, but his end of the season was good and it is clear that he has taken steps. Against Sirius he was great. There is more in Ring than in right rider Zack Elbouzedi. Elbouzedi has done well, but now that there will be games in the Allsvenskan and Europe, the team needs to be broadened with more outsiders, and pointed at the right wing.
Then it is unclear what will happen to Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Alexander Milosevic and Sebastian Larsson. The trio’s contract expires, and a few days ago Expressen stated that Larsson will extend. This is of course very good news for AIK. But do national team duo Nordfeldt and Milosevic do the same? If not, the club needs to recruit a goalkeeper and a midfielder.
Well done by Sirius
It was an eleventh place and after many heavy losses, it is still strong by Sirius. Important plays such as Stefano Vecchia, Hjalmar Ekdal, Elias Andersson and Henrik Rydström were lost.
