The Ministry of Health announced this Monday that Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Tabasco, Tamaulipas and Baja California Sur present an increase in COVID-19 infections in their territories.
José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology, commented that the last four entities register low growth in the aforementioned area.
Quintana Roo, for its part, has maintained the upward trend for several weeks, making it the only state in Mexico that currently has an epidemiological orange traffic light.
Due to this, the official called on the population to maintain health measures and social distancing to stop infections.
This agency reported that there are already 223 thousand 568 people killed by the new SARS-COV-2 coronavirus in the country.
Meanwhile, estimated active cases of the COVID-19 disease rose to 17,309.
Hypertension, obesity and diabetes are, respectively, the first three conditions associated with deaths from coronavirus.
