Last prospects soc. dem. indicated the numbers of Kantar CZ, which examined the electoral potential of the parties in the regions, ie the maximum possible profit of the parties, if all those who assumed it at the time of the survey were able to vote for them. And the numbers are twice as optimistic for the CSSD.
–
The highest potential – 12 percent – has soc. dem. in the Vysočina region, which is led by the non-party governor and deputy for the CSSD Jiří Běhounek, and has the lowest potential in the Karlovy Vary region with seven percent. And there is already a five percent threshold for entry into the regional council.
–
In its former stronghold in the Moravian-Silesian region is soc. dem. fourth with 11 percent, while the first YES has the potential, ie the maximum possible votes, up to 40.5 percent. In fifth place is soc. dem. in Central Bohemia, South Moravia, Plzeň, Hradec Králové and Běhounkov Vysočina, in other regions it is even lower.
–
At the same time, the low electoral potential may mean that the party in the elections does not even exceed the 5% threshold for joining the council, and in only half of the regions can it be erased from the political map, as happened to the CSSD two years ago after the municipal elections in Prague. Vysočina governor Běhounek has a decent starting position in terms of potential, but behind the first YES and the second pirates has more potential than soc. dem. still a coalition led by the ODS and a coalition led by the Mayors and the Independents. The CSSD may thus be a piece in the mosaic of a possible regional coalition, but several parties will probably find themselves in a similar position.

Different brands
In other regions of the CSSD, various cases in the regions do not help either. In the Pilsen region he gave soc. dem. a few months before the election, President Josef Bernard, a long-time critic of government cooperation soc. dem. with Andrej Babiš. Bernard went to the Mayors and Independents, where he is the regional leader.
–
Martin Netolický in the Pardubice Region as a candidate for President defends the post in the formation For the Prosperous Pardubice Region, which is a joint candidate of the CSSD, the Together for the Region movement and independent candidates.
–
A similar strategy was chosen by the Hradec Králové governor Jiří Štěpán, who soc. dem. at least in the name of the coalition he did not forget. Štěpán wants to defend the chair as the leader of the Together for the Region formation – personalities of the region, the CSSD and the Greens.
–
In the South Bohemian Region, which is again headed by President Ivana Stráská, soc. dem. again he has to deal with the exhejtman soc. dem. Jiří Zimola, who in June founded his own electoral formation, Change 2020, with which he is running.
–
The tips of the soc had to do something similar. dem. to solve in the Ústí nad Labem region, after initial courtship in the formation of the Better North, the CSSD leadership finally decided to submit its own candidate. At the same time, some soc. dem. they will run as non-partisans for a Better North (UFO and ProMost). Among them is the leader, the current deputy governor Martin Klika.
