After the report on boarding schools carried out at the national level by Jean-Yves Gouttebel (president of the departmental council of Puy-de-Dôme), the Ministry of National Education launched a call for projects for “thematic residency” boarding schools.
Five files were selected by the Academic Inspectorate of Puy-de-Dôme and the departmental council. They will be submitted to the national commission.

The five boarding schools concerned are:
- the Gaspard des Montagnes college in Saint-Germain-L’Herm, applying for the “Residence nature” label;
- the Pavin college in Besse, applying for the “Olympic residence / professional residence” label;
- the Sancy Artense college in La Tour d’Auvergne, applying for the “Résidence monde” label;
- François-Villon college in Saint-Dier-d’Auvergne, applying for the “Résidence Sciences” label;
- Bellime college in Courpière, applying for the “Olympic Residence” label
