The police are still working hard on the case where five people have been charged with sexual intercourse with children under the age of 14 or complicity in this in Molde on 24 July.
A girl, who is the only victim in the case, is said to have been subjected to what is described as gang rape.
The assault is said to have been filmed by one or more of the five accused. Dagbladet is informed.
Five charged with sexual intercourse with children
– Good evidence
Three of the accused are under the criminal minimum age, one is under 18 and one is over 18, according to the police. The man over the age of 18 was remanded in custody for four weeks on Friday.
The girl’s legal counsel, Curt Andre Lier, says that the case has taken a toll on his client and her family.
– She is strongly affected. It is going to take a long time to get over this, to the extent that it is possible. She is closely looked after by the family and followed up well by the police. I know that there is good evidence, including video evidence of the incident, says Lier.
No witnesses
According to Dagbladet’s information, none of the accused are friends of the girl. The assault is said to have taken place outdoors in Molde during the day, but in a place that was partially hidden.
Police attorney Anders Skorpen-Trøen states that no witnesses have come forward after they went out with information about the incident on Friday.
– We are still working to get clarity on the distribution of roles in connection with the abuse. We have no information to suggest that images or videos have been shared via social media, but we are aware of the issue and are also investigating this, says the police attorney on Tuesday.
Raped “Ida” on a girls’ trip
Will meet next week
On Tuesday, Dagbladet tried to get in touch with the defenders of the five accused in the case.
Axel Lange is the defense attorney for the man who was remanded in custody on Friday. He states that the client has decided to appeal the four-week imprisonment order on Tuesday. He still has not decided whether he pleads guilty, but admits to having been present during the incident.
Lawyer Kenneth A. Leren defends one of the accused who is under 15 years of age. He states that his client has been questioned, but denies having anything to do with the incident.
Lawyer Christian Limi Kvamme also defends one of the accused who is under 15 years old. He says the client has acknowledged having been present, but that his explanation is that he has not participated in anything criminal.
Erik Rolfsen is the defender for the person under the age of 18. He tells Dagbladet that he will meet his client next week, and will then, among other things, talk about criminal liability.
– There are still a number of investigative steps that remain, so for now I will wait with further comments, says Rolfsen.
John Marius Dybvik defends one of the accused who is under 15 years of age. He does not want to comment on the case because of the client’s young age.
